DesignBold And The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Hi there, Bolders! Hope you all are doing well.

First of all, your data security is always important to us.

Last few weeks have been pretty hectic at DesignBold with multiple things moving forward. The DesignBold user base has been rapidly growing with more users from all over the globe joining the designing revolution.

Hence, our small yet dedicated team at DesignBold has continuously been at work developing, adding, editing and testing more new features for you to use in your creations.

However, along with all that work, we also had to look after one of the most discussed topics in the recent times which is going to affect every online venture and user equally. But we believe this change is fundamentally for the good of our users.

Yes! You guessed it right we are talking about GDPR or The EU’s General Data Protection Regulations.

GDPR and DesignBold

At DesignBold we are committed to our user’s right to privacy. Hence, we are also committed to adopting the new privacy regulations as per GDPR to ensure that you have complete control over the information you are sharing with DesignBold. We are in full support of efforts to protect your online data.

Keeping in tune with the goal mentioned above, we have made the necessary modifications to comply with GDPR. This particular post is a collection and information on the modifications we have made following the GDPR regulations.

The EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) takes effect from May 25, and we entirely support the idea behind these regulations for a safe and secure Internet.

We have made many changes to the way DesignBold collects and stores personal information of the users. Modifications have been made to provide many more options to the users to control how they want to share their information with us.

These updates address the new requirements under the European Union (EU) data protection law. However, we are implementing these updates globally because we believe they’re inherently better for all our users.

Here is the list of the major changes to DesignBold in compliance with GDPR

  1. You can now delete your account and all of your personal data:

If you want to delete your account,

Log in to your account => Account Setting => Delete Account

  • Once you delete your account, all of your personal data will be removed and cannot be restored. You cannot re-register with DesignBold using this account in the future.
  • All your personal data will be set to be deleted, and the process will be completed within 2 or 3 working days.
  • Your personal data related to billing, however, will be anonymized.
  1. You now can choose to stop sharing your personal data with any third parties:

To improve our website, user experience, and customer service, some of your data is shared with the third parties we use at DesignBold to run the entire ecosystem. You will be informed which third parties we share your personal data with and why.

You now can choose Account Setting then enable/disable the third party you are unwilling to share your data with.

  • You cannot disable Cookies since this is DesignBold’s core tech. Unfortunately, DesignBold cannot work without Cookies.
  • If you enable/disable the third party, some functions will be affected. We therefore highly recommend you to understand why we work with third parties before disabling carefully.
  1.  You now can choose to stop receiving our emails:

You can select Account setting => Unsubscribe Emails

  • You cannot disable opt-emails, such as emails related to billing, password, verification, etc.

Cookie Statement

Similar to the majority of online SAAS ventures, we also employ the cookie system to collect additional website usage data to understand user interactions better and to improve our service.

Cookies are small files that websites place on the computers and mobile devices of people who visit those websites. These files are then read by the website each time you return to the site. These files allow a website to remember your device and how you interacted with the website, which is useful for different purposes. (Most importantly improving the user experience while performing tasks at the site)

You may instruct your browser not to accept cookies from the DesignBold. However, please note that DesignBold as an online SAAS, requires and cannot work without cookies. If you decide not to accept the cookies, you may not be able to utilize all the features of DesignBold to their fullest potential.

That’s it Bolders! That’s all about how DesignBold has evolved with the new GDPR regulations. Through this post, we wanted to re-emphasize on DesignBold’s commitment to the protection of user privacy and information.

The new Privacy Policy goes into effect on May 25th, 2018. We recommend you to review the full Privacy Policy (here).
