How To Upload Your Own Fonts



Choosing the right font is extremely important in shaping the aesthetic and tone of a design. Font weight, width, statics, openess, etc. can all make or break a project. The Internet is filled with tens of thousands different fonts to choose, so the more good fonts you have, the better your designs tend to become. DesignBold’s feature “Upload your own fonts” is created to assist you on your journey to stunning beautiful designs! Choose a font that you like from a trusted site, upload onto your DesignBold account and start creating your stunning graphics!

Font file requirements:

  • In .ttf, .otf, .woff or .woff2 format 
  • Maximum file size 5MB 

You can upload your own fonts:

On your DesignBold workspace:

Step 1: Click on the Personalization tab, to load the Upload User Fonts section.

Step 2: Drag and drop your font(s) into the shaded area or Browse file(s) from your computer.

Step 3: A popup will ask you to confirm that you’ve the right to use the font you’re uploading. Check the box confirming you do and click Upload Now button.

On the context menu inside Editor Page:

Step 1: Select any text box on your design and click on the font drop down in the Editor Toolbar

Step 2: Find the tab My fonts at the bottom of the drop down menu. Click on it.

Step 3: Choose +Upload new font. Browse file(s) from your computer.

Step 4: A popup will ask you to confirm that you’ve the right to use the font you’re uploading. Check the box confirming you do and click Upload Now button.

If you encounter an error message while uploading your design, please ensure that you are using the correct font file format and that your font is appropriately licensed. 
You can upload up to 5 of your own fonts with DesignBold Free membership or 20 fonts with Team membership. If you would like to add more, simply delete an uploaded font. This will not affect any designs that have been created using the deleted font.
